You can permanently delete your FuelWheel account and the personal data linked to it at any time — from this page (no app or reinstall needed) or from inside the app. If you would rather keep your account, you can ask us to delete only some of your data instead.
This page explains how to delete your FuelWheel account and its associated data. FuelWheel is developed and operated by Mentaxis Labs (package com.fuelwheel.app). Deletion is permanent — it is not a temporary deactivation, freeze or disable.
Delete your account and all data
This permanently removes your account and the personal data associated with it from our systems. You can start it either way:
- From the web (no app needed): submit a request through our contact form from your account's email address, asking us to delete your account. We may ask you to confirm ownership.
- From inside the app: open Settings → Cloud sync → Delete account and confirm.
We permanently delete your account and its associated personal data within 30 days of a verified request. Once deletion completes, the account can no longer be recovered or signed in to.
Delete only some data (keep your account)
If you don't want to delete your whole account, you can ask us to delete specific data instead, where applicable — for example:
- Trip history and recorded GPS routes
- Fill-up, expense, reminder and vehicle records
- Photos you uploaded (profile, receipts, feedback)
- Community fuel-price reports you contributed
Send us a message through our contact form, from your account's email address, listing what you would like removed. Your account stays active.
What is deleted
On a full account deletion, we remove:

What we may retain, and why
We may retain a limited amount of data after deletion only where we have a legitimate reason to, as permitted by Google Play and applicable law:
- Security & fraud prevention — minimal records needed to detect or prevent abuse.
- Legal compliance — data we are required to keep to meet legal or regulatory obligations.
- Backups — residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for a short period before they are rotated and overwritten (within 30 days).
- Community prices — price reports are anonymous (never shown with your name or email) and may remain in the public price pool to keep local prices accurate. Ask us and we will remove yours.
Data on your device
Some records are also stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app removes all FuelWheel data held on that device.
